From a small fencing crew to a full-scope oilfield contractor — WYO Services grew the way everything grows in Wyoming: through hard work, strong relationships, and showing up when it matters.
WYO Services was founded in 2012 by Kyle and Jane Materi in Gillette, Wyoming. What started as a small fencing operation quickly grew as clients asked for more. One job led to dirt work, then reclamation, then full site development — and the company expanded to match the demand.
Within a few years, WYO Services had evolved from setting fence posts to running heavy equipment across multiple oilfield sites in the Powder River Basin. The growth wasn't planned from a boardroom — it happened in the field, one handshake and one completed project at a time.
Today, WYO Services operates out of both Gillette and Douglas, delivering seven core services that cover the full lifecycle of an oilfield site. The company's reputation has been built almost entirely through word-of-mouth — field managers and project leads who've worked with WYO once keep calling back.
Kyle and Jane Materi bring ranching roots and field experience to every project WYO Services takes on. Kyle's background in hands-on land work and heavy equipment operation shaped the company's approach: show up, do the job right, and build relationships that last longer than any single contract.
Jane's role in operations and business management has been central to scaling the company from a two-person crew to a multi-service contractor with the capacity to support large-scale oil and gas projects across the basin.
Our growth has come from referrals, not advertising. Field managers who've worked with us once come back because we deliver — on time, on spec, without excuses.
Instead of coordinating multiple subcontractors, you get one point of contact who handles everything from dirt moving through final reclamation and fencing.
We live and work in the Powder River Basin. Equipment is staged locally, crews know the terrain, and we mobilize fast because we're already here.
Since 2012, WYO Services has been building pads, running fence, and restoring land across Wyoming. That experience shows up in how we plan, execute, and close out work.
We understand the land because we come from it. Our ranching background means we work with landowners, not around them — and we treat every acre like it matters.
With equipment and crews positioned in Gillette and Douglas, WYO Services gets on-site quickly. No waiting for out-of-state mobilization — we're built for the basin's pace.
We've built our business on doing the work right and earning the next call. Reach out to discuss your project scope — from a single service to full turnkey delivery.
