Overview

Full-Scope Pipeline Fabrication Contractor

Pipeline fabrication in the Powder River Basin

WYO Services handles pipeline projects from start to finish -- right-of-way clearing, trenching, pipe installation, backfill, and corridor restoration. We run the job, not just a piece of it.

Our pipeline work is built on the same earthwork, equipment, and field experience that has driven WYO Services since 2012. We know the terrain, the regulatory requirements, and what it takes to keep a pipeline project on schedule across the Powder River Basin. Whether it's a gathering line tie-in or a multi-mile corridor, WYO Services has the crews and iron to deliver.

What We Do

Pipeline Capabilities

Right-of-Way Preparation

Clearing, grubbing, and grading pipeline corridors to spec. Topsoil stripping, stockpiling, and surface preparation so the corridor is ready for pipe.

Trenching & Excavation

We dig the trench to grade and spec -- managing spoil placement, trench depth, and width for the pipe diameter and soil conditions on your project.

Pipe Installation

Lowering-in, padding, and setting pipe in the trench. WYO Services handles the full installation sequence, not just the dirt around it.

Backfill & Compaction

Backfilling over installed pipe with proper material placement and compaction to prevent settling and protect the line long-term.

Corridor Restoration

Recontouring the corridor to match surrounding terrain, replacing topsoil, installing erosion controls, and seeding with approved native mixes.

Launchers, Receivers and Pig Traps

Fabrication and installation of pig launcher and receiver assemblies for pipeline maintenance and inspection operations. We build the pads, set the assemblies, and tie them into the line.

Access Roads & Infrastructure

Building and maintaining temporary access roads, staging areas, and crossings along the right-of-way for fabrication traffic — then removing them during restoration.

Our Process

How a Pipeline Project Moves

  1. Survey & Planning

We review the corridor route, identify terrain challenges, plan access points, and coordinate sequencing and material staging for the full project.

  2. ROW Clearing & Grading

The right-of-way is cleared, grubbed, and graded. Topsoil is stripped and stockpiled. The corridor is prepped for trenching and pipe operations.

  3. Trenching

We excavate the trench to spec -- managing depth, width, spoil placement, and padding material based on pipe diameter and soil conditions.

  4. Pipe Installation & Backfill

Pipe is lowered in, padded, and backfilled with select material. We compact in lifts and bring the surface back to grade.

  5. Corridor Restoration

The corridor is recontoured to match original terrain. Topsoil is respread, erosion controls are installed, and the area is seeded for revegetation.

  6. Final Walkdown

We walk the completed corridor with your team and the landowner or agency representative to verify restoration meets specifications and permit conditions.

FAQ

Common Questions About Pipeline Work

What types of pipeline work does WYO Services handle?

We handle the full pipeline fabrication scope — right-of-way clearing, trenching, pipe installation, backfill, and corridor restoration. Whether it's a gathering line, a water transfer line, or a multi-mile corridor, WYO Services runs the project from clearing to final restoration.

Can WYO Services run a full pipeline project or just support one?

Both. We can run an entire pipeline project as the general contractor -- or we can bring our crews and equipment onto a larger project to handle specific scopes like trenching, backfill, or restoration. Either way, the work gets done with the same crews and equipment.

What equipment do you run on pipeline jobs?

Dozers, excavators, motor graders, sidebooms, and compaction equipment -- matched to corridor width, pipe diameter, terrain, and project requirements. We size the spread during scoping so you're not paying for iron you don't need.

How do you handle reclamation after pipeline installation?

We recontour the corridor to match surrounding terrain, replace stockpiled topsoil, install erosion controls, and seed with native mixes approved for the area. Our reclamation approach follows the same methods we use on well pads and access roads across the Powder River Basin -- work that has to meet BLM, WDEQ, and landowner standards.
